BEGINNERS PROGRAM
The easiest way to do Wakakirri!
Schools select a pre-designed story-dance from our catalog, complete with script, choreography, soundtrack, costume suggestions, set design, and a lighting plan—all ready to deliver in just 12 hours of rehearsals by a Wakakirri Facilitator. Students also have access to practice videos, letting them rehearse independently at their own pace.
This program is perfect for schools that need a streamlined solution, with every detail planned out to make it easy for teachers and enjoyable for students.

ADVANCED PROGRAM
A Creative Collaboration
Ideal for schools wanting a more hands-on approach, this program lets your team work with a Wakakirri Facilitator to design an original story-dance from scratch.
Our facilitator will guide the creation of the story, choreography, soundtrack, costumes, set, and lighting over 12 hours of rehearsals.
This program provides a collaborative, customised experience, ensuring a high-quality performance that everyone can be proud of.

HEAD START WORKSHOP
Intensive Story-Dance Workshop
This workshop intensive explores the fundamentals of story-dance. Schools can use this program to assist in the planning of a story-dance production in preparation for the event and/or as a way to recruit students to join the Wakakirri experience.
Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with an expert Wakakirri Facilitator who will support the brainstorming of ideas for a Story-Dance performance while also developing various creative skills in Dance, Acting, Story Telling and Production Design. This program allows teachers to gain further insight into what’s involved during the process of a Wakakirri production.

STORY-DANCE CLASSES
Learn Story-Dance Skills and Artistry
These classes are perfect for schools who do not have a Performing Arts program currently available and/or want to provide students with opportunities to learn the skills and artistry involved in dance and theatre performance. Schools can use these classes as an alternative to Physical Education by developing coordination, stamina, strength, flexibility & overall physical health using dance.
This program also allows a safe space for students to explore artistic expressions and enhance their own characterisations skills using drama.Schools may wish to incorporate this program as part of a well-being day to help students build confidence, lower anxiety, and promote social connections with others.
